I am going to Roskilde as an erasmus student for 5 months. (Roskilde Business College). I just want to learn about the student housing in Roskilde or in Cophenagen. Can I find a student house easily? What about the rents? I want to know about a one month budget as a student in denmark.

Depends how big and nice you want the apartment, how much food you eat, what you drink and how much, type of shopping you do, if you want a car or scooter, how much electricity you use, how much you go out and where. There are a LOT of variables, but in general, you can get a room fo 3000 DKK per month, a 1 room apartment for 6000 DKK per month, plus electric, phone, cable, etc. Food from grocery stores 600-1000 DKK per month, depending how much you eat. Transport 350 DKK per month for a card. Pocket money 3000 DKK per month. So minimum 7000 DKK per month if you are willing to economize; 9 or 10,000 DKK per month to live with a little breathing room.

I knew an erasmus once. She was always tired. Erasmus B. Draggin, not sure the origin of the surname, Scottish maybe? Best wishes with the erasmus programme.

An absolute fortune i'm afraid. And at present it would not even make a distinction in distinctive aspects. i think of you're able to do some homework. start up off with learning locations to stay/stay interior the section the place your college is and then paintings from there including on (if ideal) your properly-known financial committments alongside with gasoline, electrical energy, nutrition. while you're thinking of renting a room in London some come 'inclusive' of expenditures such because of the fact those i discussed above so it's going to make it slightly greater handy so which you would be able to determine it out. however the sorrowful certainty is that London is now the main costly place to stay in Europe (and 2d interior the worldwide i've got faith). besides the fact that, the best factor is that as a student, you're able to be eligible for all varieties of student savings etc which could make life a touch greater much less costly. you merely might desire to maintain your eyes open.

hello,

i would recommend that you find accomodation in roskilde rather than copenhagen, it's cheaper and it's easier to commute. roskilde is quite beautiful town and the atmosphere is more relaxed that it is in copenhagen.

i can't really help you with the prices of accomodation as they can vary greatly depending on how big the apartment and how far from the town center it is.

check http://www.riu-roskilde.dk/uk/

you might consider sharing an apartment with a fellow student or two.

i would not recommend commuting all the way from copenhagen ( some 30 km away) as the monthly pass would cost you 1115 danish kroner - and that is quite a sum for a student.

i would average the cost for food at about 1500-2000 danish kroner a month if you cook - probably more if you eat out.

i hope some of this can help you

good luck
